Partner Projects and Incubation

An important part of the ISAAC Coalition vision is to (1) support individual ministries or projects which our Faith Community Coalition members identify or help incubate, and (2) to directly support, incubate or sponsor small community-led projects and LLCs. In the community, ISAAC is currently supporting:

  • The Loveland-based grassroots organization, El Sueño Latino

  • Events and small projects carried out by leaders in mobile homes

  • Community-facing mental health projects led by directly impacted community leaders

  • The Carlos Delgado Near Peer Mentoring Cooperative

  • Community-led Spanish language birth classes

  • Small, local translation and interpretation consulting projects

  • La Fondita Food Cooperative

Within faith communities, community members often identify a “unique niche” or community-identified need that catches the passion of a small team or faith community. ISAAC offers support and promotion of these projects through its coalition, and partners with them in specific, joint-efforts. Some of these partner projects are:

The Community DREAMer Fund at Sojourn Mennonite is a beautiful, heart-led initiative implemented by and for dreamers with and without DACA who are pursuing an education. They partner deeply with UndocUnited at CSU and provide financial support with the goal of helping students of all ages stay in school. Contact them at this link: http://sojournmennonite.org/dreamers.

The Immigrant Freedom Fund, Initially launched  by members of Namaqua Unitarian in Loveland, is a bond fund for individuals imprisoned at the GEO Aurora Immigration Detention Center. Contact them at this link to learn more and/or if you need support: www.immigrantfreedomfund.org.

The Foothills Unitarian’s Sanctuary Everywhere Program helps sponsor asylum seekers so they can be released from detention and fight their cases with community support. They accompany local asylum-seeking families through the creation of support “villages,” and they are developing a program to support LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers with emergency housing. Connect with their work here: https://foothillsuu.org/justice-work/sanctuary-everywhere/

The Plymouth Congregation UCC church periodically organizes trips to the US Mexico border through the Borderlinks and No More Deaths projects in Tuscon, AZ. They are an official immigrant welcoming congregation and a designated Operations Center in case of an emergency that would disproportionately impact immigrant community members. https://www.plymouthucc.org/

Many local faith communities who are members of ISAAC are engaged in refugee sponsorship of Afghan and Ukrainian families. Among them are Plymouth UCC, Our Saviour’s Lutheran, Heart of the Rockies, and Har Shalom. Please reach out to them directly or contact us at contact@isaacnoco.org if you’d like to be connected.
