Outfitting Newcomer Youth for the Colorado Winter!!!

Every year, ISAAC has the absolute pleasure of partnering with Poudre School District’s Newcomer Program to outfit 100-150 teens ages 11-19 with NEW winter coats, hats, gloves and beautiful hygiene bags. We do this distribution at the beautiful PSD Future Ready Center at Foothills Mall, turning it into a super fun shopping fieldtrip. We then treat youth in the program to a hot drink at LIMA (that they have to order themselves in English!) and/or a movie at Cinemark Bistro to round out their special day. Teachers tell us this is their favorite fieldtrip of the year.

This effort would not be possible without the generosity and collaboration of PSD staff and teachers and ALL OF YOU! Each Fall, we begin collecting donations of gear and monetary donations to fill in the gaps. We never know if we are going to come out ok … but somehow WE ALWAYS DO!
